Lubna Olayan represents a significant milestone for women in a region defined by the stereotypes set by society. This leader was chosen because of the numerous strides she has made, which are uncommon for women in this region. The author has noted the importance of recognizing strong female leaders within the region, especially being a young Middle Eastern woman herself. Lubna Olayan is the prime example of a woman that has not given in to the challenges of a conservative society. As such, she plays an important role in encouraging the dreams and hopes of young women both in the region, as well as across the globe.
